Andrew Joseph Cohen is a well known American television and radio talk show host, writer, and producer.

He is currently the host and executive producer of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and Bravo’s Late Night Talk Show.

Andy Cohen also hosts alongside John Hill, a two-hour pop culture program on SiriusXM Radio.

Early Life

Andy Cohen was born on June 2nd, 1968, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Lou and Evelyn Cohen. Cohen joined Clayton High School, and upon graduating, he secured a chance at Boston University to study broadcast journalism.

He took part in writing for a Boston student newspaper called The Daily Free Press.

Andy Cohen later worked at CBS News as an intern together with Julie Chen. Andy Cohen is Jewish.

Career

Andy Cohen kick-started his career at CBS, which he worked for the network for ten years.

His big name at the network saw him serve as a producer for 48 Hours, a senior producer for The Early Show. In 2000 he joined Trio, a television network.

Bravo bought Trio in 2004 and made Andy Cohen the vice president of Bravo’s original programming.

Besides being a producer, Andy Cohen appeared in many talk shows, including Live with Kelly, Morning Joe, Today, Saturday Night Live, and The Comeback. Currently, he is hosting Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Andy Cohen released his Memoir in 2012 called Most Talkative, which became a New York Times bestseller in the hardcover category.

In 2014, he published his second Memoir, The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year. The book became a Times bestseller in ebook and print categories.

His third Memoir was released in 2016 by Henry Holt and Company dubbed Superficial: More Adventures From the Andy Cohen Diaries. Superficial also became a Times bestseller. 

Cohen also played himself in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, a Netflix series. He also played a role on the show Riverdale in 2018

Andy Cohen became a father to a son in 2019 with the help of a surrogate.
