Bullied schoolboy with dwarfism Quaden Bayles walks onto pitch with rugby heroes

A nine-year-old boy with dwarfism who told his mum he wanted to die because of school bullies was applauded when he led rugby players onto the pitch today.

Quaden Bayles pulled on the heartstrings of the world after his mum Yarraka posted a video of him crying in the family car, begging for a rope to kill himself. After the clip went viral he was lavished with support from across the globe and received an invitation to lead the Indigenous All-Stars NRL team onto the pitch.

The crowd at the Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast erupted when they saw Quaden walking hand-in-hand with captain Joel Thompson ahead of the match against the Maori All-Stars.

Fans on social media said they got ‘goosebumps’ and a ‘lump in their throat’ when they saw the boy among his heroes. He was invited after a heartbreaking video of him crying pulled the world’s heartstrings

It comes after the Indigenous All-Stars shared a heartfelt message for Quaden in a video on Thursday. NRL star Latrell Mitchell said: ‘Hey Quadey… Just wanted to wish you all the best brother, we know you’re going through a hard time right now but the boys are here.’ ‘We’ve got your back, we’re here to support you bud.

We just want to make sure you’re doing alright.’ ‘We want you around, we want you to lead us down on the weekend. It’s going to mean more to us than it will to you bud. ‘Just make sure you’re looking after yourself and hopefully we get to see you in the next couple of days.’

Before the match Quaden posed for the camera with commentator an former North Queensland Cowboys star Johnathan Thurston and got to mingle with players in the Indigenous dressing room.

Coach Laurie Daley said: ‘We want to embrace him and include him in some of our activities over the next 48 hours, him and his family, just to show we care and we are here for him.’ Quaden was also sent touching messages from film royalty including X-men actor Hugh Jackman and Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars.

Unfortunately the heartbreaking story has also attracted the attention of con-artists and internet trolls. Quaden’s mum issued a warning about a series of unauthorised fundraising pages which claimed to be raising money for her son. Yarraka has also been forced to deny conspiracy theories claiming the her video was staged to make money and that Quaden is actually 18 years old.

Before the video was posted the boy had more than 90,000 followers on Instagram and was pictured wearing expensive designer gear. But none of this means that Quaden wouldn’t be bullied at school and no concrete proof has been offered by sceptics.

A picture of the boy standing next to a lit-up number 18 sign has been doing the rounds, but a post on his Instagram account shows he was celebrating his friend Garlen’s birthday – not his own.

In 2015 Quaden and his mum appeared on Australia’s Studio 10 about raising awareness of his condition and the bullying he suffers. He was four-years-old at the time and he clearly looks that age during the interview. People from across the world have offered their support to the bullied schoolboy

Yarraka Bayles says a girl at school patted her son on the head and mocked his height Also jumping to Quaden’s defence was rapper Cardi B, who said: ”Everyone keeps saying he’s lying about his age. I really don’t think he’s lying about his age.

‘And just because there’s videos of him flossing money and acting all gangster, and acting all cool and everything, it doesn’t mean that kids do not pick on him. ‘Come on, just because he’s acting a certain type of way and trying to be cool, his parents are probably trying to boost up his ego and make him act a certain type of way for Instagram.

‘You motherf*****s be acting up for Instagram every single day. Y’all be acting like you’ve got money everyday and y’all broke.’ Last year Aboriginal rights activist Yarraka told the Courier-Mail how her son first tried to kill himself when he was just six years old. She said: ‘I was so shocked. I honestly didn’t think he would even know what or how at six years old.’

I believe in ‘God the Mother’- Passaris

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris now says that ‘God is a woman’.

Ms Passaris joined in a conversation on social media about faith where she declared that as a Christian she believes in the Holy Trinity that is God the Mother, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

According to the Christian doctrine the Holy Trinity is made up of God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

“I believe in The Holy Trinity. God the Mother, the Son and the Holy Spirit,” Ms Passaris said.

— Hon. Esther M Passaris (@EstherPassaris) February 18, 2020

Religion and spirituality she says goes beyond words read, traditional practises and daily prayers recited.

Rather it is a journey where a person goes through every day of their life to find meaning.

“Spirituality goes beyond words read, traditions practiced, prayers recited. It’s a daily journey where I trust I will find meaning in a meaningless world as I search for understanding of who God is. Inshallah it shall be as God wills it to be. The God I worship knew me before I was born. She knows my strengths & weaknesses as she created me,” explained Passaris.

“Let’s not get our knickers in a twist. We don’t need to complicate God. You say Father. I say Mother. You say He. I say She. We are equal before the Lord, are we not? It’s all grammar. God isn’t complicated so don’t play God and don’t judge me,” she added.

A section of Kenyans on Twitter had a problem with her interpretation of the Holy Trinity.

God the mother sounds funny. I’m no Christian but Bible says God the Father. Can’t be a Christian and still contradict the bible, pick a side

Avoid relatives that hate your mom and disrespect her

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has warned against relatives that hate and disrespect one’s mother.
Tonto Dikeh took to her social media page to advise that people should eb=nsure that any relative that hates or disrespects their mother should be kept at a distance as they don’t mean well and children should be kept far from such people.
”Avoid relatives that hate your mom, and disrespect her. The truth is that if they can’t respect your own mother who you hold in high regard, their regard for you is superficial and fake. Anyone who vehemently dislikes you shouldn’t be anywhere close to your children. This life is deep and the heart of men is malignant.

How do you know they mean your child well when they dislike you?How do you know they mean you well when their loathe the womb that bore you?

Be vigilant; when they can’t get you, someone close to you becomes the next target. So, shield your children from people that mean you no good..

Pastor: Give me $500 million and I will resurrect Kobe Bryant, daughter Gianna

Kobe and Gianna

The church is supposed to be a safe haven where believers congregate to celebrate Jesus, learn his teachings and open up on their struggles.

A Ghanaian prophet, Nigel Gaisie, has taken these teachings too far after claiming that he has the power to resurrect celebrated basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna.

The man of God made this known while preaching and prophesying to his congregation, saying that, the Lord had instructed him to bring back to life the NBA legend.

“The Lord just took me into the spirit world, and I have seen a great man fall…This news will shake the entire world because of how great this man is. I see a lot of people on social media talking about the man for weeks to come and I see a lot of sad faces.

“America will mourn this great man. The Lord then instructed me to announce to the family of this man, the American embassy in Ghana and the entire world that He the Lord has not sanctioned the death of this man,” Gaisie said.

He went on with the soliloquy, “Nigel, tell the family of this man and tell the entire world, should they agree to pay my tithes and offerings I will use you as a vessel to bring this man and his daughter back to life.”

The controversial prophet, however, gave a condition before resurrecting Kobe and his daughter.

“The man is worth 500 million dollars and should the family agree to give 10 percent of his income to me, I will bring them back to life. Thus sayeth the Lord! Without the money, I cannot bring him and the little girl back.”

He further asked his congregation to pray in tongues and thank God for wanting to use him for such a great miracle.

Gaisie also warned his congregation not to doubt his words or else face some serious consequences.

Bryant and his daughter were among the nine people that died following a tragic helicopter crash in Calabasas, California on Sunday morning.

The group was headed to Thousand Oaks, California for a basketball game where Gianna was expected to play, with her dad Kobe expected to coach.

Los Angeles County sheriff Alex Villanueva confirmed everyone on board died in the accident.

According to Daryl Osby, the Los Angeles County Fire Department chief, the helicopter crashed 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, causing a bush fire.

A shooting guard, Bryant played his entire 20-season career in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers.

He five NBA championships in his glittering career. He was an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, 12-time member of the All-Defensive Team, and the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP).

The fallen giant was widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time.

May he Rest in Peace!

There’s a huge market for celebrity, movie, and famous cars. Just look at any example of the DeLorean from the Back to the Future movies. The movie cars have huge collector value – especially for those in love with those movies.

You also see this with other movie cars, as evidenced by YouTuber Tavarish buying the hero Lamborghini Murcielago from Fast & Furious, and VinWiki Creator Ed Bolian buying the Lykan Hypersport from a other F&F franchise movie (which isn’t really a Lykan at all). Both of these cars have gained huge popularity on YouTube and around the car community.

The reason I mention this is because another famous car is officially up for sale and you’re not going to believe the price (even though I told you in the title). Tupac’s BMW 750iL that he was shot in the night he died is up for sale for a scarcely believable $1,750,000. Yes those zeros are correct and that’s not a typo, $1.75 million.

The listing states:

“This 1996 BMW 7 Series 4dr Tupac Shakur features a 5.4L 12 CYLINDER 12cyl Gasoline engine. It is equipped with a 5 Speed Automatic transmission. The vehicle is Black with a Black Leather interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. – Leather Interior Surface, This is the actual car that Tupac Shakur was shot while riding in after a Fight at the MGM in Las Vegas. It was driven by Suge Knight and originally leased by Death Row Records.”

So if you have a spare two mil burning a hole in your pocket, this might be the car for you! And with only 121k on the clock. Clearly this car was used heavily when owned by the late rapper.

According to the listing it’s the first time the car has ever been up for sale or on display and if you want to get in contact about it, you can call 702-818-1031 or email

I can see this selling, to be honest. The price might seem insane, but given today’s collector car market and the prices people pay for cars with a history and a story behind them, it’s not too far fetched to see this happening.

GM Recalls 700,000+ Silverado, Sierra Pickups for Stalling, Fires, Disabled ABS

Late-model and new Chevy and GMC pickups have serious defects, including one that’s caused by too much glue.

Michael SimariCar and Driver

  • New-gen Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks have software errors that may disable ESP and the ABS. Others may cause stalling and engine fires. Some trucks are affected by both problems.
  • GM did not say how many of the 2019 and 2020 model trucks are still in dealer inventory.
  • A tiny group of Cadillac CT6 sedans are also affected.

General Motors is recalling more than 700,000 pickup trucks in the U.S. for software errors that can disable critical safety functions and, separately, for glue on battery cables that can cause fires, according to filings with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

On 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 models, a fault in a brake ECU can disable both the anti-lock brakes and the stability control without warning, and without any warning light or message to indicate that these systems are completely off. Fewer than 1000 Cadillac CT6 sedans from the 2019 model year with the four-cylinder and V-8 engines are also included. A total of 463,995 vehicles are affected.Advertisement – Continue Reading Below

GM said it discovered the issue from the brake ECU’s supplier, ZF TRW, last month. Dealers will update the software starting in late January.

Another 350,371 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 trucks from both 2019 and 2020 may have excess glue on the positive terminals connecting the alternator to the main battery. This glue can cause an “intermittent electrical connection” that may lead to warnings on the instrument panel that say “Service Battery” or “Battery Saver.” The poor connection can also cause a heat buildup that can soften the bolt attaching the terminal and unthread it, causing a stall. Or an electrical arc might occur and melt other parts in the engine bay and start a fire. GM’s Canadian division first reported the issue in August after a 2019 Sierra 1500 stalled due to a missing nut. Dealers will inspect for any excess glue and replace any damaged components starting in late January.Advertisement – Continue Reading Below

There have been no reports of accidents or injuries related to these defects. Due to the overlap in production dates cited in these two recalls, it is highly likely that some of the 2019 trucks—by our estimate, more than 90,000—have both defects instead of just one. Our estimated total above reduces the potential double-counting of the total affected trucks.

One-month-old baby dies after grandfather gave him a sip of alcohol

A newborn baby reportedly died after being given a sip of alcohol by his grandfather in China.   The unnamed man proposed a toast at a party marking the baby turning one month old, when he was apparently goaded into giving the baby some of his drink. The boy was taken back by his mum but had already begun struggling to breathe before being rushed to hospital where he died.

Friends and family of the infant had gathered at his parents’ home in Beijing on July 12 for the four-week anniversary, traditionally held to bless and celebrate a newborn, reports Sin Chew Daily.

The baby’s grandfather was the holding him when he proposed a toast before someone teased him that he could not take a drink unless the child did first. The man is said to have given in to the peer pressure and poured some alcohol into his grandson’s mouth.

Just tin amounts of alcohol can poison children and potentially lead to death.Their tiny bodies absorb it more quickly than adults, according to medical experts.

Alcohol impacts the nervous system, causing glucose in the blood to fall, which can lead to seizures and comas, while heart rate and blood pressure can also slow to fatal levels.

Never Leave Bottled Water in Your Car- Firefighters Warn

Car Burning

Firefighters have warned that during spells of unusually hot weather the public should be aware of the dangers of leaving bottled water in their cars.

This summer has seen unusually high temperatures across the United States of America leading to sporadic rare incidents involving flammable water bottles left in cars.

In one incident, Dioni Amuchastegui, a battery technician for a power company in Idaho, happened to be walking past his car when he was on a lunch break and spotted smoke billowing out of it. When he ran over to investigate he found that the bottle of water that he had left on a car seat had started to refract light to such a powerful extent that it had caused one of the seats to catch fire.

Thankfully, he was able to put out the fire relatively quickly and was left with two burn marks on the seat. If the fire had been allowed to rage for much longer he could have been looking at considerably worse consequences – and a much larger bill at the mechanics.

According to the Oklahoma Midwest City Fire Department, this kind of incident occurs far more often than people may imagine. Firefighters at the department have investigated the phenomenon in-depth and have found that when water bottles catch the sunlight in an environment such a hot car they can reach a staggering 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

Firefighter David Richardson explained that the sunlight “uses the liquid and the clear material to develop a focused beam and sure enough, it can actually cause a fire, a combustion.”

While this type of event is very rare it’s always better to be safe than sorry and to either take water bottles out of the car when leaving the vehicle unattended or to store them in a place where they cannot catch the sunlight.
